Foliobook was used to create the James Haefner automotive portfolio app. To create this we used a standard version of Foliobook 3.2. Then we applied a couple of minor custom tweaks for Jim Haefner such as the speedometer button for speeding and slowing the transition we chose for his app. The reason we created Jim Haefner automotive was to show the capabilities of Foliobook, the leading customizable portfolio app for the iPad, in a freely downloadable sample.
Foliobook was designed from the start to be suitable for photographers who are at the very top of the industry. It recently achieved greater notoriety after Scott Kelby, editor-in-chief of Photoshop User magazine,
published on his blog that, with Foliobook, "I have finally found my portfolio app for the iPad"
To create the James Haefner automotive portfolio we used the unique Foliobook transition that resembles handling prints in a physical portfolio box. We used the 'free menu' to create freely floating home page menu buttons that react to touch like an app, but which a photographer or other artist can configure rapidly with no programming skill. With Foliobook its like having your own app builder to assist you in creating a great presentation.
